Off-Road Capabilities
Jeep® Grand Cherokee: The Grand Cherokee is one of the most fun-to-drive midsize SUVs off the pavement for several reasons. Its Best-in-Class Available Ground Clearance and excellent departure angles make it a breeze to traverse bumpy terrain. The Quadra-Lift Air Suspension System uses electronic semiactive damping for optimal aerodynamics. Plus, the Selec-Terrain Traction Management System offers multiple driving modes with the turn of a dial. It is hard to beat the Grand Cherokee.
Ford Explorer: The Ford Explorer is not well-known around Roanoke Rapids, NC, for its off-road capabilities. That said, it still offers selectable drive modes for off-roading and a towing capacity of up to 5,000 pounds. Side-wind stabilization helps prevent tipping from gusting winds, and the Trailer Sway Control helps when towing. The Grand Cherokee easily beat out the Explorer in off-roading.
Toyota 4Runner: The Toyota 4Runner offers some off-road-ready specific trims like the 4Runner TRD Pro and 4Runner Trailhunter, each with its own levels of off-roading abilities. The TRD Pro features a TRD-tuned FOX suspension system and 33-inch Toyo Open Country A/T III tires. The Trailhunter provides a roof rack, 2.5-inch monotube shocks, and a standard Old Man Emu suspension for rides around Tarboro, NC.
